Expected Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to:
- orient yourself within the current legislation on safety at work with specific reference to what is foreseen for the temporary or mobile construction site,
- demonstrate knowledge of the safety control and monitoring process on construction sites,
- identify the risk factors characterizing the activity on site,
- recognize the correct procedures and the main critical issues and identify possible solutions.
Course Structure
Lessons are held in presence mode with frontal lessons and use of slides and images. An interactive approach is favored that sees the centrality of the student in the learning path; discussions, role simulations and the resolution of problems applied to case simulations are favored.
Required Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of the construction processes and work procedures most commonly used on site is required

Attendance at classes is recommended.

Definition of safety at work
The phases of safety and the Deming cycle
Purpose of the process approach
The actors of the safety phases: RL, CSP/CSE, Executor
On-site verification process and feedback chain
Mandatory tools for risk control and tools for voluntary adoption
Safety organization of the construction site
PPE and DPC, preparations and temporary works, signage, protection of workplaces
Monitoring process of construction site safety
Documentary and operational verification
Exercise on the identification of risks related to work processes
Safety leadership and effective communication

Legislative Decree 81/08 and subsequent amendments can be downloaded in an updated version for September 2024 from the website www.optsiracusa.it, regulatory section. The parts and articles to pay attention to will be indicated during the course.
Learning Assessment
Learning Assessment Procedures
At the end of the training course, the level of learning will be assessed through an oral exam in which, in addition to reviewing the contents covered, a paper aimed at identifying the safety risks relating to a specific activity and the related prevention and protection measures to be implemented will be discussed.
